Marlo's Bio

      I am a 42 year old mother of three. I was taught to crochet at the age of 8 by my grandmother. I had a wonderful baby sitter who tried to teach me to knit but I got frustrated with the loops falling off the end of the needle. Needless to say I've tried several times to knit however crocheting comes more natural to me and seems to work up rather quickly which pleases my impatient personality. At the age of 16 a friend taught me how to make a granny square and I made several blankets for myself, my children, gifts, etc over the years. A few years ago my daughter received a light weight poncho for a gift and was crazy about it. I tried to find one to take her into the colder months and I couldn't so I decided to browse the internet. There wasn't much out there and the more I thought about it I thought how hard it be to make one. So after a couple of tries...voila.....there we had a multi-colored textured poncho with fur trim. She was delighted. She wore it to school and and many people complimented her on it and she told them her mommy made it. When I would pick her up other moms would ask me if Id make them one and that's how I got the idea to sell. I love what I do. I like to create my own patterns and I like to take already existing ones and give them a new look.
     All of my work is created in a smoke free environment. I use wool, cotton and acrylic blend yarns. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me
